Business lady and treasurer Kashmir chamber of commerce and industry (KCCI), Gazala Amin shared her experiences about her journey from being a medico to being the first and only female office bearer in the 80 year old organization-KCCI.
She talked in length about the role of KCCI in policy formulation and nurturing business community in valley.
She encouraged young female entrepreneurs to become member of KCCI and benefit from the umbrella of this valued organization.
President KCCI Sheikh Ashiq also appeared. He appreciated the initiative taken by SRCG in promoting entrepreneurship in Kashmir and also invited all the participants in their upcoming business related seminar in the valley.
CEO and owner of valley based branding and advertising company Prism creations, Tabish Habib spoke about the challenges that she had to face while starting her own venture ranging from cultural and societal taboo to raising bank finance.
Co-founders of prestige academy, a valley based training academy, Uzma Azad and Huma talked about their decision of sacrificing government jobs and taking up a business venture. Uzma also talked about her venture wherein she has provided work to hundreds of women artisans from downtown Srinagar for designing handmade outfits and garments.
CEO and owner of Graphic designing firm Graphic Weave AsmaYasrib talked in detail about challenges of balancing a domestic and professional life for a women entrepreneur.
She shared as to how she managed to keep a balance and run a successful business venture.
Serial start-up founder, Kashif Khan who is known for his role in improving e-governance by providing MyRahat platform to Khidmat centers also shared his idea of importance of start-ups and entrepreneurship eco-system in Kashmir. Khan has been co-founder of Kashmirbox.com and e-resolute.com as well.
Resource person from JKEDI NaziaShafi discussed various government sponsored schemes for entrepreneurship.
The event was hosted by the two co-founders of the Silk route consulting group EjazAyoub and Sameer Gojwari.
